I'd rather not be at work today..
ME and S____ saw Little Miss Sunshine yesterday.
Although I thought the story was EXTREMELY contrived I was laughing my ass off at the final act. It owed a lot to other indie movies (and a little to National Lampoon's Vacation!?)
and I was kinda put off by how wildly eccentric every character was BUT I have to pay much respeck to my main man Alan Arkin, possibly the funniest dude ever.
And like I said the final act was pretty durn funny.
So..

2.75 star. You can wait til the dvd.

Kinda tempted to go just to see a movie that ends well.   I can't tell you how many movies I've seen lately where I just wish I'd left 10 minutes early.   Nobody knows how to end a story any more.

(40-yr-old Virgin springing to mind)

umm... not sure about the Pluto show.  my part was AWESOME.. but then J______ caught the fever and she made her part about Pluto too.  so I guess it was a full 2 hour Pluto-love-fest.     It'll be put up in the archive tonight, so we can both hear how it turned out.

i'd hate to say it, but a goofy comedy should also stick with the 90 minute mark...make me laugh, but don't expect me to laugh for 2 hours.

i started watching Friday night lights the other night like at 10 and couldn't turn it off. I'm not really into football at all but for some reason this movie just did it for me.

And it wasn't just my love of Slingblade...billy bob didn't do one grunt or "mmmm."

I just can't get over how big High School football is down in Texas (not sure about other states).

Coincidence: S_ _ _ and I went to see the same movie yesterday. I feel the same way about Mr. Arkin. I gave it the full 3 stars. I didn't really feel like going to the movies, but I ended up enjoying myself.

you guys know anything about digital cameras? Our 35mm broke and it was going to cost over a 100 bucks to get fixed...although it's a nice camera that's alot to pay to get it fixed..so we were thinking of venturing into the digital world.

I'm not sure about the whole megapixel thing...what we're looking to do is take some pixs...send them to one of those online places to get printed (like snapfish)...figure out of a roll of film we'd only get like 5 good pixs anyways...

looking for something cheap, small...don't need any fancy features...just point, click, maybe zoom...any reccommendations?
