tripp hangs oot at friendster?!?  who knew?

Hello, all. You may remember me as Bonnie Spinola, the Magnet magazine Grifters letter girl. I came across Tripp on Friendster and he invited me to visit this site. I was surprised to see that there was a thread about my letter last year. I would defend my use of "unabashed ardor," but in retrospect, it does sound pretty bad, ironic or not. Magnet butchered my words more than a little, though...

ah yes, bonnie the grifters letter girl.  a nearly-forgotten mythic figure from the not-so-distant past.

Friendster's alright.  I don't really have much use for it though. other than the occasional path-crossing with such good people as Bonnie.

Went to a party at jeff (impala's ole drummer) goggins'. All the Impalos were there. At one point  Stivers, Bomar, and Goggins were plucking away beautifully (Bomar on the mandolin.!?). i can't imagine why they kept ignoring my drunken pleas for Anna Vienna....

hhhoooo yeahhhh. i was totally smashed and annoying.!

The highest price for gas around here is $2.70 a gal. It costs close to $10 more to fill up my car than it did when I first got it. I think the economic problems that appeared when Bush took office started with the spike in gas prices. What are all the SUV and big truck people spending on gas each week? Jesus, I bet it costs about $70 to fill up some of those things. I heard some economics theorist saying that he doesn't expect much impact on the economy from the jump in oil prices. What?! You don't have to be Adam Smith to see that this situation could fuck up the lives of a lot of people.

Oy, if only I'd invested in sweet crude futures.
