mr. crooked fingers provides one of the music-related lists today at dusted, and surprisingly he fails to mention JSG.  this one was my favorite:

 9. Our drummer, Dov Friedman, does this incredible imitation of Danzig. He makes a fist and digs deep and sings violently into his fist and rips his shirt open and calls into the night. For $10 I bet he'll do it for you if you ask nicely...it's worth at least $20...and this, of course, has everything to do with music.

i also skipped/slept through the rally this morning. but it's not my fault, it is tripp and chad's. they plied me with alcohol and forced me to stay up until 2 a.m.

i don't want to even think about all the free coffee i missed out on.  Sad

try friggin' working down here. you either have to feed the meter, pay $4 to park in a distant lot, or pay $50 a month for a closer lot, OR get a $20 ticket everyday.

to rosa: it is very expensive parking my BIKE in downtown memphis. i guess there are just a lotta BIKES down here, so the city tries to cash in on all this BIKE riding.

i just had to go looking for another visual of the "wild boys" video, and MTV has the duran duran videography right here.

i had forgotten how overblown that clip was.  dayumm!  and how much effort was put into imagining a mad max-style post-apocalyptic future back in the mid-80s.  wow.
