Well I must say that I like the Arcade Fire.  I even own their Funeral cd.  So there.  Yes, they're very "white indie rock" and yeah, they are a bit pretentious.  But I still think they write good songs.  So bite me!

the new arcade fire is much better than that ep. I could see where you'd find them pretentious, I expected the same when I saw them a while back but they were actually quite fun. I don't think they're the greatest thing since PacMan fever or anything, but they're not the worst either

Perhaps I should try more of their stuff (I've often looked at the Arcade Fire stuff in your SLSK folder, Pogue)...but there is SO much music oot there that I haven't bothered since my first, unfortunate, encounter with their music.

Still, I would like to reach in their photo and bitch slap them.

I feel that way about many indie bands (even ones I enjoy).

That guy must have really shot those people up. When I first heard about that shooting the death toll was 4. Later in the day it was 5. After dinner it was 7. Now it's 8. It seems the wounded are dying off pretty quickly.

my first thought when i read that news today (oh boy) was that everybody knows you can't find jesus at a sheraton.  the son of god?  please!  he's at the hilton, people.


my second thought was, i used to have to drive oot to brookfield and the moorland road traffic nightmare by the mall to get to the record store i managed, and i often felt homicidal in that horrific edge city zone.  therefore, i'm not surprised.

it's been an exciting week for gun killings here in brew city!   Cheesy
