i think there should be only one commandment:
Be Excellent to Each Other.

I just called Tim. he said Paul Buchianini was up at Easley's when it happened so I'll ask paul later

(Paul and myself and Harlan Bobo are sitting in with Tim this weekend at the Deli.   Half Staff))

i felt like such an oldsmobile in that bar last night.  the opening band and the rest of the crowd was all in the 21 to 24-years-old bracket.  and, as so often happens to me anymore, i didn't know or even recognize a single person in the place, so it only added to my sense that all the cool kids were pointing at me and snickering about who let "pops" into the club.

but when lost sounds rocked it, i felt young again.

the end.

I just got a note from Jetty Brian who I assume heard from Stu who said the fire was actually pretty bad and it may spell the end of Easley's.

shit, man. that's awful. well, lemme know the details. seems like they could just relocate, but if a bunch of equipment was damaged...

i'm 36, heading towards 37 in june.  i know i don't look old, and i'm certainly immature for my age, but there's an odd feeling in being around young ones so wasted and carefree and only thinking aboot who they want to fuck after the show when you have worries on your mind like "i wonder which kindergarten would be right for holden" or "damn, i need to mail in the premium for my shitty health insurance tomorrow."

just wait, bamah.  you'll find oot someday.

and i have no doubt tripp is annoyed by "knowing" everybody when he is oot on the town, seeing as how he probably can't remember their names or they all just want to ask him when the grifters are getting back together or when he's going to unleash all his comic books on the world, etc.

what a drag it is getting old

i know i know, caw. and it's better that you're having those "old", awkward feelings than going to these shows trying to be "mr. swingin' thirty-something!" who's thinking aboot who he wants to fuck after the show.
