it was a good music week for me.
First i discovered London Calling.
then yesterday in the mail comes "jerry garcia and merl saunders from the keystone, 1974...damn...if ever two guys complimented each other (that's a nice tie...thank you, and i like your shoes) so well...and these discs are better than the live at keystone 73 shows since they added a guy on sax and flute...it's bluesy...it's jazzy...it's funky.

The Story of Riki- oh was one of the craziest movies I've ever seen - and I'm not one to casually toss about superlatives either. If there's anyway you can, you've gotta see this flick. You've just gotta.

that's awesome, moe. i have a dub of the joanna newsom disc, and i only made it through one listen. perphas i'll have to spin it again. she has a high-pitched childish warble, which doesn't do much for me, and her harp playing doesn't transport me in any fashion. i think her high ranking has more to do with rock crit dudes thinking she'd be some sort of fairie queene in the sack.

i thought they would've made a movie about the whole band. i mean Riki was a great drummer but you can't take away from the others guys in the band.

I think I might have to invest in a Vaporizer as a little Christmas present to myself.

This friend of mine swears it's a really good high. He says the buzz is similar to a brownie buzz, and lasts a pretty long time.

But I don't know. $150 seems a bit excessive.
