Here's my London Calling Review:

It's no Green Day

Seriously though...besides the first and last song i don't think i'd ever heard any of those songs. Which was a nice surprise.

Now I can add a song to my "Stagger Lee" mix, my Jimmy Mix"  (I call that "my mix"), and to my "shave and a hair cut mix...or as Caw calls it "bo diddley beat"

A question. I always thought the Clash were considered a Punk...is London Calling considered a punk album? Because I found it be anything but what i would consider punk...maybe i'm just confused about what punk is.

Or maybe i'm just feeling lucky.

kurt cobain had the same punky confusion with the clash after checking sandanista oot of the public library, brainfiber.  what that means is, you're destined to become the spokesperson for your generation and blow your brains out.

punk was not initially a fixed musical style, and the clash exemplified this more than most of their english compatriots.

as d. boon would later proclaim, "punk is whatever we made it to be."

it'll cost you your life, but then you get to be immortal.  see?

if it's oral you prefer, then Please Kill Me is the book for you.  that's the merkan perspective on punk, of course.
