Nice. We were this close to "Once Upon a Busted Ol' Mattress."
But then, I haven't had coffee yet.

Our dishwasher died last night.
This is embarrassing, since I fix them and all. Of course, commercial dishwashers are entirely different. And I do lnow what's wrong--the sensor that lets it know when the door is safely closed is dead. But since we were going to redo our kitchen this spring anyway, no way am I ordering a $75 part to fix a busted ass $250 washer.
We'll have the dough to buy a new one Friday.
Still... as the kids these days say: FML.

Oh shit.
I just read that Don Corneilus shot himself. That makes me very sad. People that bring that much happiness to the world should get some themselves. dangit.

When I was a kid, I hated Soul Train, because it was the show that came on right after Saturday morning cartoons were over. Hearing that "Soooooooouuuuuullllllll Traaaaaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnn!" was as good as having someone shout in your ear, "Carrrrrrrrtoooooooooooonnnnnns arrrrrrrre oooooooooverrrrrr!"
Pity I didn't give it more of a chance, since I ended up loving soul music later in life.
