Samsung nailed it with their spot-on spoofing of die-hard Macheads.

Sour grapes.  Samsung would love to be as good at brainwashing people into buying their shit as Apple is.

Spoken by a true Mac addict.

C'mon they nailed it!

Yeah, they nailed it.  So what?  Sour grapes.  They wish they could pull the same shit.  In fact, the way they're making fun of hipsters kinda resembles the Mac vs. Pc ads Apple did in the past, only in reverse.  They want to be the new apple.

By the way, I own an old macbook and an old ipod.  If I'm a mac addict, then I'm the recreational pot smoker who takes a hit once in a while.

There are things with Apple products I like, there are other things I don't.  I like that they're easy and no fuss, and that they're nice to look at.  I don't like the fact that you can't customize the hardware and that Apple stuff tends to be more expensive.  And all the marketing stuff Apple does bores me shitless.

If I was a gamer, someone who likes having access to tons of computer games, and is always improving the hardware of their computers so that they will play the latest games, I would stay the hell away from Apple stuff.  But I'm not, and I hate putzing around with computers, so...

Tilda got an iPad for her birthday from her Mom. Jonathan bought a Motorola Xoom tablet last week. I really enjoy Tilda's tablet, but I think Jonathan's is way, way, way closer to it in terms of quality than people give it credit for. Plus, his cost just 2/3 as much.

Here's a quick peek into iPad vs. Android tablet: Tilda's iPad comes preloaded with elegant, easy-to-use software to play movies. But it doesn't support all of our pilfered stuff and loading it on via iTunes is a clumsy drag that pisses her off. Jonathan's tablet didn't come with any movie playing software, so he had to take the time to sort through and try a bunch of programs from the Android market. It was a hassle, but he got to try several very different programs and pick the one he liked best. Putting movies onto his tablet is much easier: plug into PC, drag and drop, though there is a weird glitch on copying MKV files where I have to change the file extension, or my PC freaks out.

Most instances we're comparing the two it works out like that: the one way is easier to get started with and more elegant to use, but with limitations and restrictions; the other requires some work and a learning curve to start, but ends up being more customizable and without stupid content restrictions, though sometimes there are still quirks of use that really should have been worked out. I could go either way.

The display on Jonathan's Xoom isn't quite as crisp and lovely as Tilda's. And hers is light as a feather, while his is heavy like a big ass stone tile.

I watched Neil Marshall's Centurion the other night.  Very enjoyable, bloody action movie.

What is wrong with Alec Baldwin?

Why is he playing Jack Donaghy in Capital One commercials?

And the Bonefish Grille commericials?  As if Donaghy would eat there.  I don't think so.

Oh, and Hi everybody! Happy Thanksgiving and all that. I hope you are all well. I feel like I never come around anymore. I promise it's not you. It's just my job  Roll Eyes doesn't allow for a lot of internet wankery during the actual workday. Fuckers.

I love you and miss you all. You're still my favorite web pals.

Ditto.  And happy late birthday chad. And happy late turkey (sagey-lamb for capt) day to everyone else.
