Ugh. Kinda hardcore bummed/pissed. As y'all know, my hobby is obsessing over movies and home media. Motorola developed a special media center remote last year that they decided not to formally launch. The nerds who use my media center software talked them into making it in limited batches, specialized for us.

I've been asking for it since the summer, but my wife always says now's not the right time. I kept telling her it's not always available and there's usually a 6-8 week wait. But it's been in stock for a month or so, so she kept letting it slide. Finally, last night, I got the go ahead to order one for myself for Xmas, and they're fucking sold out, with a possibility of another batch in December. And there's no waiting list this time, so even if they make more, I may miss out if I'm not at their site at the right moment.

It was the one thing I asked for this Xmas. And no, it's not a big deal in the overall scheme of things, but still... sucks. I can't help but have the feeling that if my wife didn't find my hobby boring, I'd probably be getting the one thing on my list.
