I think I'm right between you and Tripp, then, Dan. I do all the sit-down-stand-up-kneel-sit-again stuff (sometimes it's just to even be able to see the bride/groom - whichever is my relation at a particular wedding , or whatever), but I say none of the prayers (except they run in my head anyway, thanks to many years of rote repetition), don't genuflect, don't cross myself, don't go up for communion, never crack open the hymn or prayer books, etc.. Outwardly, I would look like a non-Catholic, like Kurt, doing the sit/stand/kneel jazzmarazz.

RESIDENT EVIL 5 PLATFORM COLLAPSE SENDS ZOMBIE ACTORS TO HOSPITAL

A platform collapse on a Toronto movie set for the fifth installment of the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil: Retribution, has left 16 people, mostly actors, injured.

Constable Wendy Drummond of the Toronto Police Services, 43 Division, on Tuesday said a platform on wheels at Cinespace Film Studios in West Toronto shifted as actors and crew members were moving from one part of the stage to another.

The platform, which was around five feet above ground, collapsed, sending 10 of the 16 people affected to a local hospital, Drummond said.

The Toronto Police Services spokeswoman added none of the injuries were life-threatening.

Resident Evil: Retribution coproducers Davis Films/Impact Pictures and Constantin Film International in a statement expressed “regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident,” and added they were working closely with the authorities in the wake of the mishap.

“The thoughts of everyone involved in the production are with those who have been injured, and we hope that all have a quick and complete recovery,” the statement also said.

Police at 43 Division confirmed their attendance at what they regard as an industrial accident.

The Ministry of Labour has opened an investigation into the workplace incident, which occurred as Resident Evil: Retribution started a production in Toronto that is expected to run until Christmas.

The film’s coproducers on background said a number of actors dressed as zombies were injured when a five-foot-high platform separated from the set, creating a gap that several performers fell through.

One background actor suffered a cracked rib, another a stress fracture of the tibia, and a third actor sustained a possible back injury.

The film’s coproducers said seven of the injured actors on Tuesday returned to the film set.

Executives at Cinespace Film Studios, also speaking on background, insist a problem with a scaffold built by the Resident Evil: Retribution production crew accounted for the on-set mishap, and that the studio and its surrounding building remained intact.
