I love the irony in Back to the Future when Huey tells Michael J. "You're just too darn loud!" Because the audience knows what a loud and crazy rocker Huey is. Dramatic irony at its finest.

In other news,  other than the attempt to inject a bit of goofy humor into dexter's  persona, the premier last night gives me hope for this season. Brilliant opening and I like the apocalyptic killer idea.

Boardwalk Empire has resumed quite nicely as well.

I expect a pretty good turnout. One of the reasons we thought hb instead of sluggo's is that they seem to get a lot more traffic on show nights of late.  And honestly, they have a better sound system than we do.  Plus, I'm kinda sick of sluggo's.  We have been attracting the wrong kind of crowd lately. Uninteresting and uninterested hipsters.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease don't say anymore (or Boardwalk for that matter) without spoiler tags because some of us don't have HBO and Showtime, and need to download....  And some of us have decided to download a bunch before we sit down to 'em, so no fairsies!

These days, catching up on Justified, season 1, while we await more eps of the new stuff to build up. Jeff/Erik, you watch? Much is set in small town Kentucky.... It's got darkness, but done in an old-school hokey way (shot in a similar way to those Saturday night movies - Columbo, McMillan & Wife, McLeod, etc.) but that kinda makes it fun and different.
