I've forged a new band with my Batlimore buddy and a couple of young guns down there.   We've been trading songs back and forth and are going to do some more serious recording this weekend.

I like the tune. The band name doesn't tickle my fancy. Not bad, though. It could grow on me.

That Missouri school district that banned Slaughterhouse Five for being "against Christ"? They've done considerable worse, apparently.

A special-ed student told school officials she was raped by another student. They didn't believe her, made her write and hand-deliver a letter of apology to the student, and then reported her to juvenile authorities for making a false report. Then the same kid raped her again. A rape kit and DNA tests are said to confirm this. The school district then suspended the girl again. And the district's response to the lawsuit says the officials named are not responsible for damages, because "the girl failed and neglected to use reasonable means to protect herself."

I've had to work late the past three nights and have missed bedtime each night. This morning while C and I were having a little snuggle w/ her in her Spiderman jams I told her I missed her. She gave me a little consoling pat and said "that's okay, daddy...Spiderman doesn't need parents"

Yeah, funny he's echoing C_______without meeting her. I knew he thought Spiderman was sort of cool, but he wasn't making a big deal about it until yesterday. He was playing outside and just decided to be Spiderman. That was apparently satisfying as it's all he's done since.

You know, honestly, I think he likes those Spiderman cartoons because they're easy to follow: one hero, one villain, one girl, limited other characters. The menagerie on Brave and the Bold confused and irritated him. But Spiderman is simple.

This sort of reminds me of the nutjobs who try to argue that school shootings could be avoided if students could carry concealed weapons
