We watched the remake of Arthur and enjoyed it quite a bit. I wouldn't for a moment call it a great movie. It's a very creaky 2 1/2 star kinda deal that only escapes a 1 star rating because I found Brand, Mirren, and Gerwig so damned charming. I'd say if you're the type to be easily infuriated by Hollywood cliches, just skip it. But if you get a kick out of Brand, you'll probably laugh and laugh.

I notice from Rotten Tomatoes that I am way, way in the minority on this, so take it with a grain of salt.

Guilty pleasure...Pawn Stars.  I prefer American Pickers because I like to watch them dig around and see what people's houses look like.  But the Pawn Stars do see some cool things.

S___'s gone for three weeks.. I'm already getting wiggy.. Just been alternating between mixing the record and doing laundry, eating a shitty bbq pizza, and watching Master Chef..

Today is my girl's b-day.  She asked me today to write a poem or story as a present, just a first draft she said.

I was at work all day, so I had to write it on my cell phone.  I kind of hacked it out at the end because my battery was about to die and sent it.  The plot works but it needs fleshing out and rewritten.

But I just sat down read it and I actually think it's worth rewriting.

It's an Arcana story, her character from the webshow we're gonna make in August.  I wrote the kind of tale where I didn't have to worry about the problems of producing it as a movie, so it was actually a lot of fun.
