Karen! It totally works with blowdrying, too! I don't flatiron very often, either, and it still works. I've even used it when I've airdried and it made my waves non-frizzy and bouncy.

ok. speaking of nerding out....tripp, dan, any other gear folk out there, can you figure out when, where this epiphone bass was made and if $129 is as good of a deal as i think it is?  went pawn shop window shopping  and came across this.  played it for a few minutes and it actually sounded pretty good  (really all that matters, right?) through a shitty ibanez practice amp, just wanting some more specifics on the actual model...

Pat, I think that's a chinese made epiphone bass (the SJ in the serial number is for SaeJung, a chinese factory), a cheapo version of a Gibson EB-0, but with a bolt on neck instead of a glued set neck.  See here: http://www.epiphone.com/default.asp?ProductID=107&CollectionID=12
