ugh...  I did something to my back last night...

Don't know if yall caught it but our set was actually pretty good last night. Especially considering we hadn't played a few of the songs in months..  Lately at the shows we've been re-incorporating more of the softer side of Dragoon, like bringing back Impatient and Vicinity. But there was none of that last night.. It was all hard and fast..  Stan played somebody else's drums and Bobby played thru somebody else's amp and they both sounded great.. (agreeing to use someone else's gear can be a crapshoot obviously..)
We really like the MHY crowd.. They're very appreciative of the hard rock and not snooty.. And generally everyone is really happy and kind..  I love those metal-heads..
We got on an 8 and blasted thru 7 or 8 songs.. We stayed for a bit and caught a few more bands.  I guess I hurt my back loading my stuff back into the Lair..
So now I'm woozy from a tylenol-3 (which has codeine)  and I'm gonna take it easy for the rest of the day..  Tonight we go party with our ole friend Roy..!

Metal heads are some of the most good-natured rock fans there are. It's weird, but cool.

tonight is going to be one of those parties I hate going to.....  LOVE hanging with Roy and his lady but I guess it's kind of a couples party...  And I don't really know the other couples..  Except for one dude who I have an odd friendship with.. I met him at a party a few years ago and we hit it off when we realized we were sci-fi nerds...  We invited him to go bowling with us a few weeks later and I  think it was the case that we got there a half-hour late  but as soon as we walked in he kinda got in my face and was like ' REMEMBER ME?! '  and I think he was kinda pissed..  Then the 2 or 3 times I've run into him since then it's been kinda similar like he's annoyed that I don't remember him..   Which I do but it takes me a second to place him cause we rarely see each other  (and my memory is not great at times)..  So anyhoo tonight the millisecond I see him I'm going to proclaim his name loudly... and then we'll see if he can be friendly to me..
