well,  someone's coming to buy my electric piano today... I got $400 for it..  my first experience selling something on Craig's list..  I got 5 offers from scammers that were all using the same exact scam... They'd say they were paying with cashier's check (or cheque), that they were out of town on work and couldn't see the piano in person, that they would send 'their personal movers' to come get it  and that the cheque would have extra money in it to pay the movers..  I'm not sure how the scam works exactly but I can imagine...  I don't know why I even bothered to interact with the people but I just wrote back and said CASH ONLY or forget it..
The person I sold it to is driving up from Jackson MS.. Hopefully they're not going to kill me and rob my house..

The first formal release from Odd Future has leaked, Goblin by Tyler, the Creator.

I love the shit out of it.

He does say some repugnant shit ("Rape me a pregnant bitch/tell my friends I had a threesome" springs to mind) but in the persona of characters. When speaking as himself, he is pretty up front about how none of the awful shit he says is anything but id talking. His mind is a strange thing, though. A song called "She" mixes romance, fantasized violence, extensive talk of female masturbation, and a ninja attack. In other songs, he argues with his "therapist," a distorted version of his own life that presses him about his abandonment by his father, his troubled relationship with his mom, etc.

One of the crazier songs,"Radicals," actually begins with this intro:
(sung sweetly) "Random Disclaimer!"
"Hey: don't do anything I say in this song, okay? It's fucking fiction. If anything happens, do not fucking blame me, White America. Fuck Bill O' Reilly."

And the chorus? "KILL PEOPLE! BURN SHIT! FUCK SCHOOL!"

It's the first album in a long, long time I have listened to straight through. Heck, it's the first entire hip hop album I've listened to since.... Outkast? Jesus. Been a while.

Not even his best song, but the contrast between that intro and that chorus, along with the odd production choices give a decent idea of what he's all about.
