Universal is dropping the "aliens you can spot with special sunglasses" from their They Live/i] remake.

Why in the hell bother then? That was the best part.

Oh, and the producer says he's dropping the socio-political satire.

I'm on day 10 of my no booze/no sweets/no processed foods/small portions/maximum veggies thing. I've had that predictable fabulous first week drop that big dudes like myself get when we start to behave ourselves, but I'm not going to be sharing weight loss numbers until I settle into a number I can really believe.

I'm giving up beer indefinitely, as it was just contributing too much to me being in poor shape. My no-booze thing ends after this weekend, though, and I already bought a bottle of single malt scotch to gaze longingly upon. Friday, I'm going to open it and admire how wonderful it smells, and Sunday, after I finish yet another round of weekend coverage, I'm going to have a bit of it.
