I screened A.I. for the dudes last night.    I think I was too harsh on the 2nd and 3rd acts when I first saw it.     There were certainly problems, especially the overwrought Pinnochio allegory, but there is also some yummy brainfood.   

The ending felt like a cop out when I first saw it, but it really caught the boys' attention and had them talking about it.   Fast forwarding through time was a pretty cool way to explore the immortality aspect of artificial life.

I still could have done it better, but I'm softening my initial review.

Thanks for the Fighter review.     I'm still excited about seeing it, but I'm glad to have foreknowledge that its not a David O Russell movie in the classic sense.

Haven't ever seen her cooking show, but that's pretty damn lame. One meal at (I'm assuming) no expense to her? Really can't work that in?

This morning I was having a dream that a guy I'd never liked was painting over a painting I'd made. I got pissed and told him to stop, but he just laughed and kept painting. I took a swing at him in my dream and ... very nearly slugged my wife in the bed beside me. Take a chill pill, subconscious.

Bullying your spouse because of dream silliness must be universal. I woke Matilda up once and cussed her up and down for two to three minutes once. She quickly realized I was still 75% asleep and laughed so hard it woke me up the rest of the way.

To this day, she occasionally pokes me at night and says, "You fucking know what you fucking did." (kind of my refrain that night, as I understand it)

My wife once woke me up by giving me a swift kick to the shins.  Apparently, she dreamt I cheated on her, partially woke up and, still in a haze, she decided to punish me.

Ha.   S______ woke up Friday furious at me because she dreamt that I was sneaking cigarettes.

She was conscious but it took her awhile to actually shed the angry.    I kept saying "yeah, but I didn't in the real world!!"   

(still scowling)  "well yeah but......"
