No record, no matter how good, can survive constant rotation.  Things need time to breath!

Evan, I think if you're gonna play the market, you just gotta roll with things. I wouldn't know, as I have no bux, but...seems like the way to go

Thanks, I'm a little better today. I guess I was bound to do something boneheaded at the beginning.

Marquee Moon is great, but I listened to it way too much in the 80s and 90s. It's nice to hear occasionally, but not the whole album and not more than every once in while.

I don't mind his voice.  In fact, I even kind of like it.  I like unorthodox voices.  And in this case, the unorthodox voice goes with the unorthodox guitar playing.

Marquee Moon is still in our Sunday afternoon vinyl rotation.

Sunday morning invariably starts with Joni Mitchell (though I've been testing Heather's patience with Laura Nyro lately) - I think last Sunday we played Bowie (Hunky Dory) and the new Matt Friedberger album. For the most part, we try to have comfortable and familiar-esque stuff playing in the background so we can just hang out on the couch and read - it's my prime comic book time...

Usually on weekends I'll just get something going on Pandora and let that fly all day. Lately it's been either Thelonius Monk or James Brown.

A Monk Pandora station would certainly be tasty - though now I'm going to try Mingus for today.... see what comes up.

I listen to music when I'm working or cooking.  Careful listening always occurs at night, on headphones, while everyone's sleeping.  The family goes to bed around 10 pm, but I'm up until 12 pm.  That leaves me with two hours to listen to music, read or practice guitar.
