I need to fix the neck on my '75 Les Paul.

What's wrong with it?

The neck had been repaired when I bought it in 1989...which is how I could afford it to begin with.

The back of the neck had been cracked, behind the nut.  Someone glued it back together and it was fine for 20 years, played fine, kept its tune.

Recently the glue gave out and the neck cracked open again.

UGH!  That's the Achilles' heel of all Gibson guitars, particularly those models with one piece mahogany necks and no neck volute.  On the other hand, that's a very common repair, and it shouldn't be too expensive.  Do you know a decent luthier in your neck of the woods?

This is not my guitar, but an approximation of what the damaged neck looks like.  The fretboard is unaffected...

I'm getting psyched up to go to Memphis Optical and cuss out the 2 old dudes who work there..  I ordered new contacts on Dec 17..  Still haven't got them.. AND they charged me for a full eye exam even though the old bastard didn't do one.!  He didn't do the air-puff thingie, he barely did the eye chart, he didn't even require me to take out my lenses..!  I read a couple of eye charts and he concluded that nothing had changed..  Well, asshole, here's one thing that's changed.. I never had an eye exam with my lenses IN.. THAT'S DIFFERENT.!!
