Assholes have a long, honored tradition of making good music as often, and sometimes more often, than nice people.

I saw Deerhoof at the Hi-Tone tonight.  I shook the bassist's hand just before they went on.. She was like 4 feet tall..  they were amazing.. I filmed bits of it and will share soon.  AND Memphis turned out.! I went with with my friend Lea.. We stood on chairs and had a good time.

Deerhoof are awesome live - saw 'em first at McCarren Park, which was an abandoned pool venue in Brooklyn (where I met Caw) and second time was a club date in Dallas with Pogo! I believe I actually danced at that one. I'm'a gonna listen to their new record on my way to work, methinks.

Speaking of work, I should get my ass out the door already... Toodles!

(My boss is away for the next few weeks, for a change, so I will either be super-busy. Or suicidally bored, in which case I'll be back here soon.)

There is some serious snow on the ground this morning. In my 8 years of working for the school district, we've never had 4 snow days in a row. The sucky part is that they'll probably have us make up those days somehow someway.

My company, Beacon Power, has lost some value since I bought shares. It's kinda sick, but I want it to fall more so I can justify purchasing more.

Yeah if you like music made by @$$holes.

Most successful bands turn into assholes at some point. And really, most people are assholes to somebody. I've actually tried to get into Arcade Fire before, but they didn't seem to appeal to my musical sensibilities. Can you guys recommend some other asshole bands I should check out?
