There are five foot tall drifts in my backyard, y'all, but we still have power. Heck, we still have satellite teevee!

The best part of the snow was watching morons on my street try and leave around midnight last night. There was the panicked teenage kid who was clearly not where he was supposed to be, trying to back his car out for nearly an hour. Initially, J_______ and I went out to see if we could help him. But after we realized that even if he got out of the driveway the snow in the street was a foot and a half deep, we just sort of shrugged him off and wished him well.

Then there was the dude who pulled right onto the street immediately after the bulldozer made its first pass. But any time his car even slightly wavered in the narrow path left behind, he knocked drifts into the street and blocked himself again. It took him half an hour to round the corner at the end of our street, then he got stuck 25 feet later and had to dig himself out, only to make it to the next intersection and get stuck behind another car.

M______ and I were in hysterics. Too funny.

We're all safe and warm, though, and everything is closed. We went out and stocked up on stuff the last few days, so we're all good.

I like FB as a low impact way to keep up with people I like but cannot find time to hang out with. It's nice to know what my cousins are up to, for instance, or how my good friends from school and their kids turned out.

Egypt is back online!    I don't envy how many pages of  FB posts they're going to need to catch up on.    Put on a pot of tea and get comfy.

Oh crap, we doubled up on new topics. How come you made a second topic with the same title, though?

I merged us, but kept my title. Hope that's cool. It's less confusing.

Subtle!!!!

Glad you're all tucked away safe.     Big ups to my neighbor for getting me down the hill this morning.    Our hill was solid ice all the way down, it would've taken me hella forever to babystep my way down.

We got about 4 or 5 inches of snow. Nothing, basically. Glad everyone else is staying warm (except Tripp).

Sorry if I offended about Facebook. I've said it before and I'll likely say it ad nauseum till I die, but my thinking is, if 30 years have passed and I am not in contact with you, then we probably aren't friends. (That's you, high school "friends.") I also don't care about what most of my cousins are up to. The ones I do care about, I hear about through my mom, and exchange xmas cards with.

Yeah, I'm a bitch.

I'm friends (friendly, is more precise) with exes, too, but just do it the old fashioned way, by talking when we find ourselves in the same city at the same time. I know (from other FBers) that they are all all over Facebook, though.

I can't wait to watch The Social Network, which I downloaded.

 Cheesy !
