Canada Bans All Songs With Lyrics:

In an extremely terse press release, the canadian council of eliminating everything, especially everything offensive, has ruled that words are offensive, and called for an immediate ban on all songs with lyrics. 'no one complained yet, but it's only a matter of time before they do. in a proactive move, we have decided that words can be offensive and it's best just to avoid them all together. we feel this puts canada in the forefront of human rights, and also linguistics rights as well. some of those words were tired, worn out, and just plain overused. we also feel this decision is balanced, because humming is still allowed. i'd say more, but I might ruffle a few feathers unnecessarily.

I only listen to instrumental music. Moreover, I believe that people should only listen to instrumental music!

Therefore, as a canadian and a listener of instrumental music, I support and salute the C.C.E.E.E.E.O.'s initiative.

hey guys- i hate to be a debbie downer, but i'm in serious need of some PMAs.

so my dad doesn't have health insurance. he found out back in august that he has "predictable angina" and that he needed to have a heart cath done in order to relieve some of the blockages, etc. so he left to go to bangalore india on wednesday because it is about $70,000 cheaper to do it there as a medical tourist. well, they did the heart cath and saw that all 4 of his arteries are blocked in the 80-90% range, with multiple blocks. so now he's having bypass surgery on monday. he insisted on going alone, so there's no one there for him right now. he's in good spirits, though. (he just sent me an email saying "Did I mention they have to shave you? Why would anyone purposely shave their balls?")

i, on the other hand, am a complete basketcase right now. i'm so scared and so powerless to do anything. i just don't know what to do. please help me send good things out into the universe.

I'll be thinking of your dad, and I'll be raging that your country, one of the richest countries in the world, is so badly governed that you don't even have something so many in other rich countries now take, unfortunately, too much for granted: a public heath care system that takes care of everyone.
