bammah, are you gonna start your weekend right with me and Sheri in West mempho this evening?

unfortunately, no, 'cause drew gets in right around that time.   Sad

but what are you guys doing tonight? (waiting for someone to pitch a fit about discussing personal business on the main board)

(still waiting)

So when do we jam next?

West mempho; we have a funerial visitation thing.
So that's West Memphis, Visitation, and Friday the 13th. Not a good combo.

We close on the house Monday i think then we start moving in. I am alternately excited and terrified. But me and Sheri have made some interesting compromises as far as layout goes. Now it looks like I WILL get to have a little music room. So I'll finally start playing guitar at home more often and hopefuly writing more tunes again. I can sit around now and play my acoustic but when you write on an acoustic you tend  to write mopey, sad songs. I do, anyway.

Shabbadoo has another gig in late October. And the all-new Paper Plates, featuring Stan 'the Man' Gallimore, will debut soon. We had practice last night and it's sounding most rocktageous. I think people will think it sounds like the Grifters somewhat but is that a bad thing? I mean, me and Stan can't help playing the way we like to play. And it's rounded out by two guitarist/singers who both have pop sensibilities. Maybe not as far out in left field as Scott or Dave. It's kinda like th Grifters without all the LSD.

Matt, I think I'll be able to jam next week.  It's official folks: if everything goes according to plan, the writing the Masters thesis thing will be over by sunday.  Then I just have to fix a couple of figures and do all the corrections my supervisor asks for, and voilà, I can send it in!

Three very long years of work completed!  Of course, I will have to start writting an article for publication, but that's another story...

no, that's not a bad thing.  not at all.

i think "euphoric" is a close enough neighbor of "hallucinogenic" to get the job done.

speaking of neighbors, have you met your new ones yet, tripp?  the house could be great, and you and sheri could work out all of your Trading Spaces fantasies, but if the neighbors are assholes you'll be miserable.  or at least unsettled.

perhaps you should go door-to-door in your new 'hood and introduce yourself, so they all know what they're in for.
