I like Reynolds, but either the way he's playing the jokes or maybe just the jokes themselves... something feels off.

My friend adapted Stranger in a Strange Land as an opera.

(not the full score, just a quick animated video treatment of how she would do it)

Love it, dude.  This is going on my facebook wall.

OK. Here I am in Friday. It feels soooo different. Like the future, only it's the present.

I think Heather shot a few songs with her point-n-shoot. I'll upload 'em over the weekend.

Julian was really nice, by the way. He remembered my name because I subscribed to his "Chocolaty Good Smash Hit of the Month Club" back in the early '90s. I dropped your name. It was met with a smile and interest. You should friend the band on FB and PM him your vids.

After a lengthy summer of training I'm heading to Philadelphia to run the marathon on Sunday. I had some troubles with shin splints and had to cut back more than I wanted on training runs, but I think I'm still in decent shape and I'm looking forward to it.

Probably will watch a little Cavs basketball tonight, maybe go out later to hear some music, but I'm feeling lazy already.  We'll see.

Saturday some crazy kids are planning some kind of theatrical play and I was invited to a meeting at noon, so I will check that out.  3:30 Buckeyes.  Evening will be at Musica with 4 different bands.  Should be a lot of people there.

Sunday afternoon, taking A__ to see Tati's Mon Oncle.  We will probably find some other fun things to do in Cleveland while we're there.  Then my friend's band the Oxnards are playing that night, so I will be there.

Tonight - stay home, order pizza, recuperate from the already jam-packed week.

Tomorrow - go to the annual Titmouse "Smashing Party". Titmouse is the animation studio that does Metalocalypse, among other things. It's a wild event - open bar, live music (2 out of 4 of the bands are my pals), and the opportunity to smash stuff like "empty bottles, the family china, housewares, fancy vases, paintings, statues, mannequins, wooden things..." with "a sledgehammer, axe, baseball bat, lead pipe, bowling ball and various other implements of destruction." Should be fun.

Sunday - ??

Dragoon practice tonight.. I'm gonna be cracking the whip a little bit tonight I think.. I was listening back to all the stuff we've done so far and in every song it's like 95% of it is solid but then there's a 5% flub that really stands out. So where I thought we had 5 songs (rhythm trax) it's more like 3..  and there's 6 we gotta get done total.. I'm still trying to think of a way to bump up the number of songs somehow.. I kinda want to use Sold but Bobby's on the fence about it. So we'll see.

the rest of the weekend I have no idea. Probably spending some time in the Lair listening to stuff and trying to do overdubs.
