RIP, Sally Menke.
She was only 56. They think it may have been heat-related as she was jogging in the 114 degree heat.

currently downloading Boardwalk Empire at Stivers' behest. He said it was great. And he hates everything.. It's an HBO Steve Buscemi show.. Don't know what it's about.
Watched Get Him To the Greek.. ehn.. I liked it I guess.. don't really feel like watching it twice though. Also watched Predators which I kinda really enjoyed actually..

Sorry. Left out the word "release," which was the key word there.
Are there plans for a Fraysia release? Like a single or an album?

I watched the first half of Predators and liked it, but then the kid woke up so the violence had to be paused.
I like that director though. Nimrod Antal. He's Hungarian-American and his career in the US is he pretty much always takes on movies that seem like they should suck, but somehow manages to make them kinda good.
I downloaded Boardwalk Empire but haven't seen it yet.
The second episode of The Event was really good. They managed to give some huge answers in a satisfying way while still making it clear that the full story has many more secrets left.
Lost didn't give that many answers until maybe season 3.

We also watched
No Ordinary Family
, aka That Show That's Basically a Live Action Family Melodrama Ripoff of The Incredibles. Depending on your fetish level for superhero stuff, a few of you might be able to watch it. I don't think anyone here would get worked up over it, though. Nice cast, some cool effects, competent writing but nothing surprising and seriously with the family melodrama and everyone learning a valuable lesson. It has guilty pleasure potential. Kinda. I know my folks will probably love it. Take that as you will.

GODDAMMIT, Lone Star is already cancelled. Fuck FOX and its quick hook. That was a potentially great show.

Has anyone watched Shatner My Dad Says? I heard it was a colossal turd, by any standard.

I missed the first 15 minutes or so of No Ordinary family, but from what I saw that's got guilty pleasure of the season written all over it.

I doubt I'll be watching No ordinary Family... pretty tired of superhero shows with no superheroes in them.

No Ordinary Family had an early Fantastic Fourish vibe that I liked. Kind of lighthearted, lots of jokes, family that doesn't get along. It seemed rehashed and warmed over from about a dozen different things, but it was good enough to keep me watching whereas I'd assumed it probably wouldn't be.

yeah, it was better than Heroes and I liked that it was light family-fare.. I'll check back in later in the season.. I'm just a bit tired of the ole adjustment period as everyone learns to use their powers.. I'd rather just see them already good at it.

I liked the way the mom would demonstrate her powers. "Hey, you know that favorite thing of yours that's really far from here? (WHOOSH) Here it is." That was clever. I also liked that the bank robber turned out to be a superpowered dude, too.
