I had kind of a zen moment tonight.

I wanted to watch a Nova episode I recorded...but there was mistake in the scheduling and instead it was a documentary about the Dalai Lama.  Fine, because it actually looked more interesting.

Anyway, a moth flew by me and I tried to kill it...but I missed and accidentally hit myself in the nuts.

I love this. Can I use this as my facebook status? I'm bored of my own life status updates

Mornin BF.

I was hoping for a different outcome, but you have to admit that was one hell of a series.    Tense pitchers duel, check!  Late inning drama rally, check!    Leapfrog volley game, check!

Felt like a division series.

Well I was just getting spruced up for Oktoberfest.    Selma is my fave, but it doesn't quite fit with my pin up theme since its a photo.   Plus real boobs seem more prurient than illustrations.

But...   I'm absolutely astonished that none of the classic pin up artists ever did a beer wench.     I guess anti-german sentiment in the 40's/50's?

My kingdom for anyone that can find one.

It should be an exciting end to the season...don't they play them a few more times...and boston for like 4 games...they're only 6 out I think.

They need to play well against baltimore..the O's nearly swept them last time.

I enjoyed (maybe a wee too much) a few Magic Hat and Flying Dog's Octoberfests last night. Yummy.

Love Magic Hat's HEX label...

Yah, we need a little padding from the O's.   I gotta think the last series with them was just a fluke.

I'm going to be down there this weekend, so I might try to catch the game.  usually pretty easy to get tix last minute there.

Do you have a pumpkin ale you like?    I had a great one a few years ago, but all my subsequent tries have been too flavorful or sweet.   I like a nice mellow punkin presence.

I've never had any pumpkin ale. I'll have to try that. I saw some at the store yesterday.

For the last month or probably more I've been trying to learn what is probably the most basic cross picking pattern in the world. I'm at the point where I can get through it a few times before I crash.

Because I grew up listening to jangly guitar bands, I spontaneously started arpeggiating chords pretty much as soon as I learned them.  So I started cross picking pretty early, without knowing what I was doing.

The O's were just having their dead cat bounce after changing managers. They should be back down to earth this series.

my coworker kelly's boyfriend is one of the starting pitchers for the orioles. he's a young'un and isn't the most incredible pitcher ever, but it still impresses the shit outta me. goddamn, those dudes make a lot of money.
