Got up this morning and realized a HUGE branch had fallen off one of our trees and totally smashed part of the fence in the back yard.. Fortunately it's only the dog-runner fence and not any of our neighbor's property..  But man, it just reinforces that feeling of dread that someday one of those huge branches is gonna come crashing down on the house..

we are surrounded by trees...a couple of years back we had a freak storm in october and trees were crashing everywhere...it was really scary...you'd hear the crack and just wait for something to hit the house...thankfully only our deck got hit...and wasn't damaged until I cut it with the chainsaw by accident. Crazily too my car was undamaged after a tree fell on it...knocked the bumper off, but that just snapped right back on.

sad story...this past spring, the teacher my daughter had for nursery school was killed when a tree fell on her car.

Okay, musicians... Rock Band 3 is calling y'all on your "it isn't even like playing a real guitar" whines... The new game features something called "Pro Mode" in which the music isn't cued with colored lights, but with special tablature. You can play it with a new Fender Squier Strat that is Rock band-enabled. Yes, an actual guitar.
