So I was wondering...do you think the Capt made that whole story up about going to the caves, and NC and the beaches and he was really just going to the Gathering of the Juggolos?

I'm not saying it's true...but I'm not saying it's not.

sorry...just seeing if I could be a fox news reporter...

You guys ever here of the book "Deer Hunting with Jesus"?  Just picked it up at the library yesterday -- It's about how the author, Joe Bagent, goes back to his hometown, Winchester, VA and tries to figure out why these poor working class white folks vote republican all the time.

I'm still trying to figure out why educated whites and poor minorities vote democrat all the time!

It's because poor working class whites vote republican, isn't it?

I could be wrong but I think this is our speaker model.. All I know is Stan said the guys at the speaker repair place were very impressed and wanted to talk to him forever about speakers, not realizing he'd not an audiophile.

i find that people are like that with everything...in that if they are into anything, and discover even the slightest clue that you  may also be into that something, they want to talk about it for hours as some kind of bonding moment. i'm sure i'm guilty too.  rather than hurt somebody's feelings by saying something like "look man, i got a couple records with gene krupa on them.  i don't give a shit what year he created the cymbal that would revolutionize drumming forever" or "goddammit, i kinda think the 1971 camaro was pretty cool, but your 1988 iroc-z is the ugliest piece of shit i can even imagine"....i usually play along and just do alot of "yeah.  totally."  "i know what you mean."  "oh yeah, that one's great."  let them do the talking.  it's a highly underrated social skill.

the worst for me is when people want to talk about amps...  I really could care less..  if you wanna have an amp by amp comparison where we can play guitars through them then great but just standing around talking about it.?  I got nothin' to offer..

I love my bandmates..  Stan and Bobby actually keep up with new music a lot more than I do.. Every week they each bring cd's of new bands they've discovered in Mojo or wherever..  But last night Stan brought in Ariel Pink..  'heard of them.?   There were little bits I liked but really I can't believe it's getting creamed over the way it is.. Stan and Bobby both hated it.. granted, they only played me the one song they deemed passable.
