After Lebron James signed with Miami, the Heat completely sold out of season tickets and added 6000 names to a waiting list for them.

So they laid off their entire 30 person sales force.

I checked out those Antenna Club reunion vids of NMJ's Grifters stuff. It sounded a lot like I'd expect it to sound: Dave and Scott sounding about right, nice enough drummer and bass player behind them. Didn't really have the swirling chaos of der Grifters. Sounded more like Dave and Scott sitting in with some younger dudes. Which is what it is, I guess.

Maybe I'm just prejudiced against them. (shrugs)

The new Sherlock this week was pretty good. It was a dropoff from the Moffat-penned premiere, but I'd still watch a weekly series like that in a heartbeat. I hope they make more installments in the future. Three just isn't going to be enough.

You wouldn't really be off-base to say this week's was silly and filled with a lot of pseudo-Fu Manchu-ish stereotypical Asian menace hokum. But honestly, as long as Holmes and Watson and their banter are written that well, I can forgive a lot of things.

A Study in Pink was some of the best tv I've seen all year.

Don't be so easy on yourself
'cause this one might be all that you have left.

Which they will probably have to rehire eventually when the hype dies down...    mr. disappointment

sports ticket sales folks are annoying. A couple of years back my mother-in-law gave the kids this free ticket voucher thing for the NJ nets. I had to call and pick the date to go. The place is 3/4 empty and they still charge you for parking...that's great way to bring  people in.

Anyways, ever since then we get calls from the Nets sales people...i'm like, the only reason I went to see that pitiful team is because I had free tickets...
