Scary bug, Tripp!     A friend of mine made me a lampshade out of 100+ cicada shells.    They look much scarier when they have their guts inside.

I hope you're right.  I was listening to Wendy Carlos' soundtrack yesterday, and thinking specifically that I hope Disney didn't screw the pooch with that choice.    Music was such a big part of the mood of the original.

I had a good weekend  outside of  the stupid heat and humidity   (fully prepared to suck JSG's humid dick.. we only made it to 103).

The dudes worked up their greatest screenplay to date and shot it all Saturday.

We went to shoot a couple last scenes on Sunday... and the camera totally crashed out.    The only way to bring it back to life was to format the drive  (ie. erasing everything).

We were all so completely fucking bummed, we brooded for a good half hour.   Then Aaron shot up from the couch and was all (paraphrase) "fuck it!  lets shoot the whole thing again!   We can fix the parts that didn't make sense anyway!"

So damn proud of him.    And so we did.    And we did clean up several plot holes.

Aaron need your help!     Without giving away the whole plot, at one point in the script one of their music videos goes insanely viral/ top of the billbard charts/etc.

We're doing this as a montage.    So he needs y'all to shoot quickie 5-10 second scene of you at your computer.   You'll be clearly enjoying the hell out of what youre watching and maybe saying something like "This is amazing, I'm going to forward ths to everyone I know!"  or "this is the song I've wanted to hear all my life"..  just some kind of simple over the top silliness.

Video quality doesn't matter.   iphone, webcam, whatever you got around.

As you're reading that, can I recommend this for some light distraction.   Its a collection of short stories that all revolve around food.    Really excellent sensual read.

Y'all torrent-enabled/internet stealin'/downloaded teevee watchin' people need to see Sherlock. Premiered last night on BBC. Just a 3 part miniseries, but soooooooooooo good. It's written by Steven Moffat who writes Doctor Who. It's a modern take, but probably more true to the spirit of the books than the Downey Jr. thing.

I woke up this morning to find some ridiculous mp3 demos in my inbox (another potential LA's FINE artist). It is the best way to start the work week.

S_____'s back and she just started the Girls' Rock Camp this morning.. her car wouldn't start so I had to give her a  ride. And you know how much I love driving all the way across town and then all the way back in monday morning traffic.. Memphians REALLY ARE the worst drivers in the world.. 
For the rest of the week I think I'm going to go into recluse mode.  I already saw someone on the FB saying they 'can't wait for the grifters this weekend.'   ugh.
For what it's worth, I wrote Scott and told him to have fun and that even though he doesn't need my blessing (or want it for that matter) that he has it nonetheless.. I just want him to have fun performing his songs..
