Jsg how is your bro in law? many pmas. i got car 2day, yay. jsg what was the book you read about pre hipster brooklyn?
Hey, FBP! The update is that he came home from hospital yesterday, and they still don't know much. Doctors had him on a heart monitor for over 24 hours, and did an electrocardiogram, and ...nada. They're pretty certain this wasn't a heart attack. Which means it's brain- or anxiety-related. I guess more tests ahead. The not-knowing is always the scariest. Even if you get super-bad news, it's better to know so you can deal... Their family just doesn't need any more bad news. At all. (Their youngest, Mitchell, still has the all-clear from his docs, though, which is awesome. Gonna post some pics from the other day babysitting.) |

Oh, and the book I referred to was Jonathan Lethem's Fortress of Solitude. Pre-hipster Brooklyn for sure - it's 70s graffiti/emergence of rap/gangs/drug culture (emergence of crack, especially -- pot is the gateway drug! haha -- and its effect on the 'nabe), etc. etc. etc. Mostly a very very elaborate coming-of-age book.
He also wrote Motherless Brooklyn, which I've not read.

we had our first full-on Fraysia practice in over a month last night. AND we had a special guest-star.. Shelby Bryant from the Clears.! Great times.. that boy can sure tickle the ivories. We sounded good.! Too bad he's going back to west Africa next week.

Was up too late with my friends who are playing at Johnny Rad fest down here- now am about to go get my hair chopped by my favorite gay in town.
