"The chief problem about death, incidentally, is the fear that there may be no afterlife -- a depressing thought, particularly for those who have bothered to shave. Also, there is the fear that there is an afterlife but no one will know where it\'s being held."

Yes, PJ will direct the Hobbit.  It will be 2 movies.  It will not be in 3D.  It is not greenlit yet because MGM is causing problems.

Apparently, Verbinski's next project is helming the first-ever fully-animated feature by ILM.

I've never seen any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

The only Gore Verbinski I've seen is The Mexican and the Budweiser frog commercials.

The first Ring was pretty good and the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie is about as fun a popcorn movie as has been made in the last fifteen years. The other two have shining moments but are increasingly nonsensical.

The Weatherman was pretty bad. The Mexican was bad but sporadically very charming.

I avoided Pirates of the Caribbean for years, but upon finally seeing it was forced to admit it really was pretty good.

Did anyone actually see that awful-looking Prince of Persia thing?

I guess Verbinski's Ring was better than the Japanese one.

I can't believe how disappointing Inception was. I rarely go to the cinema these days, and my experience yesterday isn't likely to make me go back any time soon.

That is such a bummer.    I had high hopes.   I'm in need of a good brain-bomb movie.
