I'm going nuts with S___ out of town.. I'M SO BORING.! I've just been standing in the backyard skimming our little pool with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth..
Sounds like a perfectly legitimate way of wasting time to me. All you need to do is sit with your feet in the water and a beer in your hand.
Just grab a fishing pole and cast into your pool...then you're not wasting time...your fishing!
Being productive, like a good little robot!

Hey I'm an expert at doing nothing...sometimes i just sit in the backyards and do nothing...I won't even meditate or think about anything.
I'm too lazy for Zen.

Soooooooo... now that we're on page 2, I need to ask for some PMAs for my family (again)...
My soon-to-be brother-in-law, Will, was driving his bus Tuesday night (yep) and blacked out, veered into oncoming lane, and crashed into a cement barricade. Luckily, no one on the bus was hurt (but him) and he was at the bottom of the route down the Niagara Escarpment instead of on top. (Witnesses on the bus say he was driving really slowly at the bottom of the hill when he blacked out, so that's also lucky. If he'd been going any faster, and if the concrete barrier hadn't held, the bus could've plunged 10 feet to a parking lot below and and done even more damange) My other brother-in-law, also a bus driver (yep), heard the call on the system radio, and just happened to be passing in the opposite direction and says the bus is fucking totaled in the front, so definitely one of those cases of being limp (from blackout) helped soften the blow somewhat.
Will's been in the ER since then, on a heart monitor -- they need to find out why he blacked out (minor heart attack? seizure? panic attack? something else etc.) -- and not yet assigned a room where they can better test him. Ugh. He's bruised and has a huge welt on his stomach/chest from hitting the steering column upon impact, but is conscious,
and so far not looking like he has a concussion.
They yanked his license immediately. Depending on what caused the black-out, if it's something brain-related and unpredictable, he's not going to get his license back and he'd end up losing his job. So obviously hoping for something that's manageable.
My sister's holding up ok, but is going again to hospital today, so going to help my mom and watch their boys (Joey & Mitchell).
Like this family needs any more crap.
Anyway, if you want to throw some PMAs in the direction of Hamilton, Ontario, that'd be swell. Thanks.

Take all my summer PMAs. Here, take my early fall PMAs, too. I'm sure I won't need any til at least the middle of November.

my other pass-time lately is perusing the torrent sites, looking for something to watch.. endlessly.. I've been downloading Heroes of Aviation lately.. also, The Kevin Bishop show as well as the current crop of good tv which includes Louie (watch it, it's awesome), the IT Crowd (the new season is good not great but still better than most american tv), Futurama (got off to a slow start but last week's DaVinci episode was one of the best ones ever). And that's about it.. I also enjoy the mega-low-brow entertainment known as WIPEOUT.! That shit is funny every time.
Last night I downloaded Toy Story3 in 3d. You have to use the red and blue 3d glasses but it actually looked pretty good..

I never can remember who recommended what book. Anyway, I'm currently trudging through Guns, Germs, and Steel. At first, I didn't know if it would hold my interest, but now I'm totally into it.
I recommended it. I'm glad you like.
