That's unfair.  Two within four months.

I hung out with mom last night and ate too much pizza. I've had stomach problems and have been doubled up into a ball for most of the day. (sigh) Good times. We watched Cocteau's Beauty and the Beast last night on TCM. I hadn't seen it since I was a kid. Such a great movie.

The Criterion Collection disc has the Philip Glass opera as an alternate audio track if you've ever watched it that way.  It's totally synced up with the lips.  Really cool.

I remember being pretty blown away by Forbidden Games.

That's something I checked out from my library a couple months ago but never watched it.

Thanks for the Pitchfork summary, guys. I almost feel like I was there, minus the ringing ears and agoraphobia.

Yeah, I don't think we mentioned how packed it was.  I guess 20,000 and it was impossible to walk anywhere by late afternoon.  You had to step over 100 people sitting down to get to the beer stand or the porta potty.  There was a sea of assholes sitting on blankets that you had to tightrope between.

Apparently if you have a blanket down it's tantamount to a deed on that piece of property.  It's like Monopoly by the end of the day and there's nowhere to step without landing on somebody's.

I also loved Rififi even though the subtitles were kinda washed out. Later I got to see a restored version with nice yellow subtitles on the big screen.

Don't mind me. I'm just ramblin'.

That movie is awesome.  The best scenes don't have any subtitles at all.

Friday, it's Comic-Con.

Hey, you don't have to get that comic for me, Jesse.  Appreciate the offer.

It's available everywhere.  I thought it was just going to conventions.

I figured that when I saw a pile of them at my local shoppe last Wednesday.

But feel free to give me another quest. It'll be fun. I love searching.

oooo. I like that band CAVE.

Jeff and I agreed the drummer is incredible.

We caught 3 songs.  I liked 2 of them.  Kind of a psychedelic jam band.

I find myself telling everyone about Major Lazer.  Musically I thought it was hideous, but it's hard to forget the show.

The dude just dry-humped the booty girls for an hour in every (un)imaginable position.  He drank a bottle of Hennessy and started another.  It had to be a prop.

Jeff and I watched the spectacle from Big Boi's stage while they were setting up.

His DJ said into the mic that it was "crunk as hell" and he wanted to be over there.

According to Wikipedia his word choice is right on the money.  Crunk is a fusion genre of hip hop music and electro that originated alongside the concept of crunk, a portmanteau meaning "Cronic drunk'.

Major Lazer's connection to Tim & Eric is Eric Wareheim directed a couple of their videos.  "Pon De Floor" features the kind of humping around we witnessed.
