If LeBron goes to Miami, I will hate that team more than I hate the Lakers. And if he is on that team, it'll be Miami and L.A. in the finals. I'm gonna really hate him if he goes to Miami.

I think the Heat will be hated by many.

I reconciled myself. I'm a Miami Heat fan.

I think it's a bad move for his career but he may prove me wrong.

The point of LeBron's press conference isn't to create to create some douchey spectacle. The hullaboo was inevitable. The point is to funnel everyone to one show with the proceeds going to Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

not sure if you're being sarcastic.  first of all, he's already said the announcement will be at the beginning of the show.  who's gonna watch it after that? no one except fans of the team he chooses.  great.  so the proceeds are going to the boys and girls club.  i'm not suggesting he's trying to get rich off the tv special.  it's an "all eyes on me" thing. this guy cares more about becoming the jay-z of basketball than he does about being part of a team.  his handlers pushed the hype to begin with to set this stage. his money comes from endorsements and justin beiber type marketing. magic, jordan, kobe.... none of them would have ever let themselves become bigger than the game.  lebron cares more about building an empire around himself than winning championships.  the thing about those other three (and it took kobe much longer to figure it out) is that they know the value of a team and know how to be a captain and make everyone else play much better. and they all have a whole buncha rings.  lebron (the cavs) has had the talent to win a championship for several seasons but he was too busy being king james to realize it. .  a no-look pass here and there is not teamwork.

Is this your idea of a bad joke?
LeBron has made the world hate him so quickly.  It is unbelievable what an asshole he is being.

When he announces he's going to Miami, then Cleveland will hate him, Chicago will hate him, New York will hate him...so who is going to want to watch a 1 hour special of him telling fans he is NOT coming to your town?  Why is so much time needed to disappoint so many people?

i think i was channeling kurt in my last post.  i forgot to mention that lebron could probably beat all three of the aforementioned superstars in a game of one on one, but that don't win championships.

I was just getting my head around him going to Chicago...and rooting for him (even though most Cleveland fans will despise him if he leaves)...and really I couldn't argue that it would be a good career move for him.  They have a lot of talent there.

But Miami I just don't get.  Dwyane Wade is the leader of that team.  Why is LeBron piggybacking someone else?  It's bad for his reputation.  JOrdan would never do that.  Kobe would never do that.  I'll try to support him, but it makes him look like a punk.

here's the bigger problem.  he doesn't see himself as piggybacking.  he's the new sheriff.   step aside dwayne.  nevermind that ring you got.  my team now.

I thought it was a joke because you thought that was actually the underlying PURPOSE...and not just to inflate his huge ego a little bit more.

that's how i read it too. i thought it was sarcasm.
