My current favorite thing is Simon counting, because he only knows two numbers, egy and tiz (one and ten). And so, he counts like this:
"Egy... egy... egy... egy... (this repeats as long as he feels is needed) egy... egy... (then finally, triumphantly) tiz!"

Romania cut pensions by 15%. There are elderly people rioting in the streets. Have fun back home, Mama! (She goes back in July.) I think we're going to end up sending her a little stipend each month.
(Insert wingnut blame-the-victim rant here, something along the lines of "spoiled people who think they are entitled to all kinds of perks, etc.", while neglecting to say anything about the fact that these people had very little say over their country's economy, but they're the ones who are getting screwed, not the politicians, financial wizzes and bankers who fucked things up, and so on)

It's like a signature bass guitar, except that it's a metal detector!

I never actually saw
Backbeat
. Was that any good? I liked the soundtrack. That was the one with Greg Dulli, Dave Pirner and company singing the songs the Beatles covered in the early days.
