Congrats Moe!  You're far more disciplined than I am.  I've "learned" to play all higgledy piggledy, without any method.   I've learned a few things, but mostly because I have been at it for so long.

Which means that any kid with a year of regular lessons can play circles around me, technically speaking.   Ashamed

I am looking for some heavy metal band members to form a band and record a record at my studio -- one or two guitars, bass, drums and vocalist. Must be willing to wear makeup and act outlandishly. Concept and songs are already partially written. If you are in the New York area, and this applies -- send me a private message.

richard lloyd?  really?  no way it's RICHARD LLOYD (television), right? weird.

That's been making the rounds. I think it's more or less confirmed it's really THAT Richard Lloyd.

Apparently my workplace flooded over the weekend.  Not sure how bad the damage is but it's possible that all the computers are fried. And a ton of orders that hadn't been shipped yet all got soaked..  So I'm looking at a very bad day at work tomorrow.

What's the update on this Tripp? Are y'all going to have to redo a ton of work? Hope not, man.

Mama watches the news in Romanian everyday and it always ends with soccer highlights. So she taught Simon to throw up his hands and yell "GOOOOOOOOL!" Now he reacts to all sports on tv by yelling that.

Followup to this story: gymnastics were on tv and some girl was doing the parallel bars. She missed her landing, tumbled forward and did a straight-up faceplant. Mama and Tilda were aghast for her and the room was silent for a second... until Simon threw up his arms and yelled, "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!"

The computers are all fine I think.. Mainly we had to throw out a bunch of garments that were in boxes on the floor.. I think my boss is pleased that we get to write so much stuff off on the insurance. It could've been way worse.. I got here at 7 this morning and we began sweeping and mopping.. the place stinks and the floors are all real dirty but it's not too bad..  I still can't believe how dumb some of my co-workers are though.. After the last big flood in here I got all my shit off the floor. My computer and all the power-strips and whatnot.. Some people left their computers ON all weekend..

also, i figured out that i can get insurance cheaper through the restauant (bigger pool) than my current plan at the museum.  so i'm switching.  i'm also putting in my two weeks at the museum today.  it's kinda heartbreaking for me, but i'm burning my candle from both ends.  i need some family time.  if i could make more $ from spending more time at the museum, i would.  but i can't.  meanwhile, every extra hour i put in at jackson's and/or sluggo's means more money.  and i'll have much more time/energy to start searching for something proper.

Yay for Maddy! And yay for moving on!

I know it's sad the museum can't payt the bills, but as long as you put some of the time and energy you save from being a one job guy into finding something else, you can still try and find a gig where you pay the bills and feed the soul.

Good on you, Pat.

I'm trying to take some of that advice myself... I know I can't just flip a switch and be doing something I enjoy tomorrow, but I am looking into variations of what I am currently doing that would be less all-consuming, time-wise. I want to get some of my life back.

Little Sophie went to Kindergarten today.  I'm all chocked up and very sentimental, and I actually blubbered when I left.  I felt like I was abandoning her.   Cry

Kindergarten is just round the corner, so I told them that they could call me anytime if things were going badly, and I would be there pronto.

Anyway, I'm going to pick her up around noon.  No need to ram it down her throat.  I want her to adapt gradually.

I hope she's happy.
