Matt sends his regards.  He would have written them, but he told me that he works and commutes, and has little time to do much else.  He seems to be doing fine!

Pretty cool, but a bit on the short side.  First band was Jonas Reinhardt, with Phil Manley of Trans Am on guitar.  It was cool, kind of a cold Jean-Michel Jarre meets Neu!  vibe.  They were followed by Nice Nice, which were quite fun to watch: two guys and a load of gear.  They use loopers, analog electronics and synths to layer complex polyrhythmic arrangements: at times, they sounded like Remain in Light era Talking Heads, only more electronic, and at other times they sounded like MC Mickey Mouse does electro.  And then, of course, Trans Am.  They had a record out, which was weird, I had no idea.  They didn't promote it much.  If Matt hadn't told me, I wouldn't have guessed it.  I haven't had the time to hear it yet, so I don't know if it is one of the good ones. 

By the way, Nate Means is one goofy looking motherfucker.

I bought a Blu Ray player and I'm trying to hook it up.

I rejoined netflix again after years away.  This player has internet access and all that business...so I should be able to stream netflix straight through the Blu Ray player...if I can figure it out.

i'm glad to see that matt's doing well.  i think his extended hiatus around here is a very good sign that the rest of his life (work, becky, etc.)  is keeping him busy, hopefully in a positive way.  proud of you dude.
