I'm really busy today. Mondays tend to get that way for me...

BTW, no DBT left at Origami yesterday. I'll try Amoeba on the way home (but I'm doubtful it'll be there).

well thanks for trying, jesse.  for real.  above and beyond.  maybe it'll be one of those rare scores in a used bin that used to be so much fun before ebay came along and put everything i ever wanted just a "buy it now" away.

Pat, if you don't mind me giving my two cents, I suggest you get yourself some washable diapers.  It's a bigger initial expense, they're a bit more work, and they have to be changed more frequently but, in a time span of about two to three years, they cost significantly less than disposables.

We've been using these: http://www.amazon.com/Bummis-Bamboozle-Bamboo-Fitted-Diaper/dp/B000U7B8UO

We use disposables on occasion, when we have to go out for a while and we don't want to carry the whole kit, or Little Sophie has a rash, but for the most part, we stick to washables, and it has worked quite well.

we've considered the washables.....actually have a few.  fortunately, we got a million newborn disposables at our baby shower, so we haven't really had to use them...yet. we're almost out.  still weighing the pluses/minuses of each as to what the best option will be in the long run.  thanks for the tip!

Birthday gifts: my wife got me Eric Rohmer's Six Moral Tales box set from Criterion and tickets to go see a representation of The Threepenny Opera.  My stepdaughter gave me a CD of Bowie's The Man Who Sold The World.  And I got money and chocolate from the in-laws.

Dude, I have the vinyl somewhere in my basement, it's really beaten to shit and scratchy as hell!  I stopped listening to it, I haven't touched it in years.  The Man Who Sold The World is my favourite Bowie record, so I played it to death.   That's why my stepdaughter gave me the cd.

Holy shit! Did Sly Stone play Coachella?

Hrm. Doesn't sound good. Kind of sounds like a disaster, actually.
