I think it's a good move, bammers..  I have a lot of friends and family out in LA.  Not that you'll need my help to find friends.

Cyber Monday is a bust. No great deals to be had anyway. I bought a dozen or so blu-rays on Amazon on Thursday and Friday - they'd marked down many catalog titles to less than $10. Heather has dropped some not-so-subtle hints that she wants a Wii for Christmas - so if there are any Wii deals, I'll be all over it, but nothing so far as I can tell...

...and Bamah - you're going to be a star in LA. You're hitting Hollywood the same year your feature film hits the screens. That's more than most of the runaways at the Greyhound station can say...

I've been considering a trip to Memphis in, say, January...since I missed crappitystock.

If I could figure out a way to do it before you depart, Bamah...

Mornin y'all!!

Well that was just a super duper t-giving mini-vakay.      Good food, friends, booze, etc.

Saw The Fantastic Mr. Fox and loved it.      A true kids movie with a few poignant Anderson moments.  (I was worried it was going to be the opposite mix).

Bams, your news is so exciting. I'm so happy for you, I truly am, and I know good things are coming your way.

But this all made me maudlin about the times I've had made similar changes in my life. (Like, seriously, I just teared up. Argh.)  And that of course led back to thoughts of all my mistakes and missteps (because I'm self-absorbed, obviously), and the fact that I'm 45 years old and still completely lost iand rudderless... ugh.

You young whipper snappers with your "lives" and "goals" and shit.

(Plus there's just the good old fashioned, "I'll miss ya" whenever I get back there, type of response.)

I really am happy for you. Even if it doesn't seem like it from the whining above.

In other words, I'm just a big emotional mess at the moment.

Shitty distribution.

For my part, I borrowed a copy of the book from my baltimore buddy.   Can't wait to dig in.
