Dragoon practice was pretty fun last night.. For some reason we've been dusting off a lot of our oldest songs. That's always fun because you've forgotten a lot of little tweaks that happened the last times you played it. It's always pretty much a weird arrangement once you've revisited it but it has a fresh energy to it as though it were new..
AND all the new songs are gelling quite nicely. I think we have about 6 new songs.. Some of which we've played out before but most of which I'm thinking Crappiteers aren't familar with.
BAR CAR has become a snappy little tune..
We've smooshed 2 songs together..Permission To Land and In A Van became a new song called Permission In A Van (though now it's just called Permission).
Then we have Donut, which is a right monster that one is..
That Sinking Feeling.
and Push/Pull which is also on it's way to monster status..
So, all those combined with some of our older stuff and a few covers and we got ourselves a new kinda set.

Well I ended up getting some strange news yesterday. Someone that the people I've been interviewing with backed out yesterday and I'm back in. I'm not putting a lot of stock into this since they seem to be kind of jerking me around but at least I still have some kind of chance.....maybe.

good luck... i was suppose to find out yesterday about the position i've been interviewing...waited all day and then got an email "sorry...no info yet"...the recruiter called me this morning and said she was 90% sure i was going to get it...what the hell...why tell me that...and still no offer though...and it's only a contract position! She said maybe today, maybe tomorrow. |

woop!! yeah, we're doing nothing but songs that are 15-20 years old (celebrating the boxset dealier) and we couldn't play them like we did back then if we tried. So they're all getting projected through the prism of all the time that has passed. Its really interesting. Alot of the lyrics mean something completely different now. |

I'm cutting off/reducing services on everything at the end of the month if I don't hear something from someone. |
