Oh yeah, they totally got it right about my beard...

You know why I have one now?  Because during the first three or four months after my daughter was born, I couldn't find the time and strength to shave.  And then I noticed that she liked it, so I kept it.

We saw Zombieland last night. I had read the crappy NY Times review earlier in the day, so my expectations were low. It ain't art, but I laughed out loud many times.

We went to our local theater, the Vista, which is one of the most beautifully restored single-screen theaters. Rather than go for stadium seating during the renovation, they just tore out every other row of seats. Tons of legroom, and there are no heads blocking the screen. Since it was opening night, the manager greeted us at the door dressed as a zombie (he dresses up for every new movie). Eli Roth was sitting right in front of us with a group of his friends. Before the previews started, the manager approached him with a standee from Inglourious Basterds and got him to sign it and take a couple of pictures.

Ah, LA. Good times.

Tried to watch Big Japan Man last night...but the DVD was scratched and stopped playing 30 minutes in.  Arrrg.

But those 30 minutes were good.  Starts a tad bit slow.
