For-profit para-military force (sort of a domestic blackwater, but they also work for individuals) just bought a Montana jail for war training.

I smell trouble.    Check out some tasty screenshots from their website

Is that for real?  It kind of looks like they're going to film porn.

Hola!

What if “Mad Men” got rid of all the booze, cigarettes and sex? Would you still watch it? Probably not. But I could deal with 2 minutes of it...

Psyched for everyone who is going.

Sad

In other band news, what the what? Califone isn't playing in Toronto this tour?! Damn. Now who's going to sleep on our couches and floors? Damn. Guess Buffalo's the closest venue, but it's on a Thursday. Grr. Montreal would be more fun, but a bit of a pain. I'm considering it, though.

Do you wake up tired, always? I'm starting to think that's my natural state: No energy.

Califone playing Montreal?  When and where?  Maybe we could meet!  Matt, would you come too?

Saturday, October 17. (Thursday, Oct. 15 in Buffalo, which is much much closer but is... Buffalo.) Still trying to figure it out, if I'll go to either...

Saturday is the annual Nuit Blanche (free, all-night, contemporary art thing) and my go-to gal for it might have to work. Roaming the streets alone at 4am, or 11pm -- or any time you have experiences you want to share -- is just no fun. I guess I could see if JeffWerbo wants to come with if she can't. But then who'd keep the couch warm?
