I watched I Love You, Man last night. I was a bit gayer than I expected but quite enjoyable nonetheless.
I disagree with Matt and found Jason Segal quite funny. He makes the movie. I could've done without JK Simmons, Jane Curtain, and Andy Samburg entirely.
The other bright spot for me was Jon Favreau as a total dickhead.
Paul Rudd was almost unbearably embarrassing...but such is the nature of modern comedy. He had his moments playing a cringe-inducing character.
Not quite as good as Forgetting Sarah, but it's a worthwhile Hollywood comedy complete with montages and predictability.
i really liked that movie. the awkward abbreviations of words made the movie for me.

Not to be confused with Ruddhism... the worship of Paul Rudd.

The Ruddha's movies are a path to supreme enlightenment.

Dave Matthews dumped sewage on the airwaves.
nice...we were slagging Dave Matthews around here earlier today.
[logged]Hmm...it just occured to me that the young witch from work who works as my manager's assistant/lap dog is probably on her way home from Camden, NJ, and the two back-to-back nights with Dave Matthews Band at the Susquehanna Bank Center!
ew...I found that information on the Dave Matthews Band Almanac (DMBAlmanac.com) and it lists important trivia for the obsessive:
"Songs that made their debut at this venue:"
Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)
Click that link and you get:
Composer
Neil Young
Song History
This song was originally released on Neil Young's 1979 partial live album Rust Never Sleeps. It was first covered by Dave at a Neil Young tribute show in 2001, then not played again in any form until the 2008 Summer Tour. In these later versions, Dave often swapped out "rust never sleeps" for "than fade away;" lyrics from My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue) on the same album.
As of 2009, this song has always been played without any horns.

Are you talking about the little nonsensical things Rudd says when he tries to end a conversation?
sure. that's what i meant.
I actually liked those bits the best myself. His awkwardness was incredibly funny, I just didn't think much of the sitcom that followed.
re: Segal
I just don't find Jason Segal very likeable...it's not that I find him unfunny. I had this conversation with one of the cashiers at work today. Strange.
I liked it a lot more than I did Forgetting Sarah Marshall... but I believe I said that I hated that one.

I could have done without Curtain, Simmons and Samberg, too, but I do find it hard not to enjoy even cameos of JK.

After I posted my dismissal, I later considered that JK's best bits were already in the trailer...so I was just kind of tired of the scene already when the movie came to it.

okay, so anybody who has the appropriate gaming system, RUN DON'T WALK to go buy the beatles rockband game!! IT IS SO AWESOME!!! a friend of mine bought it and we seriously played every single song in one session 'cause we just couldn't stop. it is the best game ever. go go go go go!
I have one other friend that got it, and was equally emphatic about it. Made a post-crappitystock date with him when we're in Tampa for some of that action.
(AND he CAN play Beatles on guitar. ...still loves the game) :-P
I concur. We played with Ryan's kid on the weekend and it's super fun, especially whilst imbibing. But that's pretty much how I do anything anyway, so...

What bit was that? I don't think I ever saw any trailers.
