huhn. i made that comment before i watched the trailer. i thought bruce dickinson "played" the pilot in some airplane tragedy movie called "flight 666". then i watched it and realized that not only was the iron maiden reference totally unnecessary but also, THAT WAS THE FRICKIN SONG in the trailer. it seems much less clever now.

Dickinson had the idea to buy their own jet and tour the world so thats what they did. It's kind of incredible. They have a 757 called Ed Force One. Dickinson flew them and their entire crew and they went and played places they'd never played before.. I found it to be awe-inspiring.

I don't think they technically own that, though. I think it was set up for him by Astraeus, the airline he sometimes flies for. They get to use it for their tours and he does promotional stuff for them where fans pay an assload of money to ride with the band to a gig and they rake in the dough.
