so...for the show this weekend, we are making a few hundred bumper stickers to issue during our set that say "live music is better".  (i know matt will get this, if no one else does)  the words will be purple, on a gray background, of course.    we're gonna send some to neil, with a (hopefully) recording of our set.   also, terry is making t-shirts for the event that have the names of all the bands being covered, listed as though the real ones were all playing some big fest at sluggo's.  should be cool.

there's been some changes...  i believe the current lineup includes:

the jackson 5
elvis costello
pavement
the modern lovers
danzig
KISS
shellac
nirvana
roger miller
jewel (?? have no idea who/why...but they better show up in a VW bug with alaska plates that they are living out of)
the strokes

Yeah, we saw District 9 Friday night at the Chinese (god, I love that theater).

Without going all spoiler-y, it certainly lives up to the hype. What I think I like the most is that it successfully combines elements of various sci-fi subgenres to create an exciting and thought-provoking flick. And it's pretty dark, kids.
