It's all gonna be worth it, Pat.

So as y'all may remember, Tilda & Simon stayed in Kentucky for an extra week. Simon did okay, but was frequently grouchy and could only be calmed by calling me on the phone to sing to him. I guess he missed me.

Anyway, they just got back yesterday. And this morning, we put Simon between us in bed and played with him a bit.

After a couple of minutes, he turned his head to me and smiled and said, clear as day, "Daddy."

Not even "Dah-Dah" and not just a "Daddy" like sound in the middle of babbling.

He said "Daddy."

I'm pretty well over the moon. He's hasn't yet mastered "Hi," so "Daddy" pretty well floored us.

i think i broughtened it! this is a shot of me before the first take. i look frightening. i had gotten myself so pissed off and upset that i just exploded when i went into the shack. apparently, i scared the shit out of the crew (quote: "i'd hate to be on the receiving end of that). i threw shit at corey so hard that now it is hard to move my right arm because it is so sore.

so glad it's done, though it is very sad. i dunno what to do with myself now!  Undecided

just talked to my dad and he is starting to review footage today. we are hoping for a trailer release in october!

and capn, the throwing stuff was part of the scene. in the scene, i've found out that he is a con man and i'm kicking him out, so i'm throwing all of his shit at him. i have to admit, it was pretty awesome getting to do that. and that was the BEST dress! there was a theme of these red geraniums being in certain scenes and they matched my dress to that color for the big climax. neat stuff.
