Matthew, have you been to Vigilant Citizen? It's a NWO conspiracy site that claims that, among other things, Lady Gaga is a pawn of the Illuminati and Transformers 2 is one big piece of NWO symbolism.

It looks like the one sitting at the junction was responsible for the crash... it appears to be waiting behind the junction but then begins to move forward just as the train with the cam begins to turn to the right.

That's actually what Roger Ebert uses to talk these days.

Great! Now put him back on the tv show.

Glad they got rid of Ben Lyons...Ben Mankiewicz isn't so bad, but that Lyons kid is a friggin idiot.

My man AO Scott from the NY Times is taking over one of the isles...and uh Michael Phillips on the other side? Meh.  Robert Wilonsky was better.

I'm not too impressed with that pie.  It only has 15 pepperoni.  Pretty sparse...and the crust looks like some crappy Digiorno.

I'll tell you my favorite pizza lately...plain cheese with hummus dolloped on top.  It's good.

I'm in the mood to keep celebrating Moe's birthday today.  Party doesn't stop till we stop it.

Hey, fellas! Never forget a birthday or anniversary ever again. They even send an email reminder 10 days and 3 days before whatever date(s) you give them. Sweeeeeet. I particularly like the "I'm sorry" card.

AO Scott is a good and thoughtful critic. I don't always agree with him, but he's consistent about what he does and doesn't like and his reviews are well-written, so hearing what he has to say is always helpful. He's the first name I look for on Rotten Tomatoes.

I've never seen him on tv though. Wonder if he's going to be able to be pithy enough to make the format work for him.

I think he's good on TV.

When Richard Roeper was hosting the show without Ebert, he was one of the revolving co-hosts.  Sometimes it would celebrities or filmmakers, but usually it was a newspaper critic.  Those who were good kept coming back.  It basically became a public audition for Ebert's replacement.

It came down to AO Scott, Robert Wilonsky, and Michael Phillips...I'd rank them in that order best to worst, but they chose Phillips.  Yet shortly thereafter the show fired both Roeper and Phillips and went with the 2 Bens.

AO is also on Charlie Rose occasionally.

My wife fancied up my office (the place where I spend my time chatting with you cats), and took me out to a wonderful gourmet Mexican food restaurant. Then we came home and watched an above average horror flick - Laid To Rest. It's one of those movies I liked, but would hesitate recommending to other people with any degree of taste.
